In the movie "One Little Indian," the story revolves around an Army deserter named Corporal Clint Keyes, played by James Garner. Clint is a seasoned soldier who has become disillusioned with military life and decides to desert his post in the American Southwest.

While on the run, Clint encounters a young white boy named Mark, portrayed by Clay O'Brien, who has grown up with the Navajo tribe after being kidnapped at a young age. Mark's adoptive parents have recently passed away, leaving him alone and uncertain about his identity and his place in the world.

Finding a common bond in their shared feelings of isolation and a desire for freedom, Clint and Mark form an unlikely alliance. Realizing that they cannot survive alone in the harsh desert, the duo embarks on a journey together, determined to reach safety and find a place they can call home.

Escaping on camels across the vast and unforgiving desert, Clint and Mark face numerous challenges and dangers along the way. They encounter hostile Native American tribes, ruthless outlaws, and harsh environmental conditions. Their adventures also lead them to meet various characters, some of whom assist them in their journey, while others pose a threat.

As they travel, Clint gradually becomes a father figure to Mark, teaching him survival skills and imparting wisdom about the world. Mark, on the other hand, begins to adapt to his newfound freedom and learns to trust people outside of his adopted tribe. Together, they learn to rely on each other and form a deep bond of friendship.

Throughout their journey, Clint is constantly pursued by Captain Stewart, played by Pat Hingle, a relentless Army officer determined to bring him back to justice. Stewart is relentless in his pursuit, sparing no effort to capture Clint and return him to his unit.

As the unlikely duo continues their arduous journey, they face increasing odds against their survival. However, their determination strengthens, and with each obstacle they overcome, they come closer to finding a place where they both truly belong.

In the end, Clint and Mark reach a turning point, where they must make a difficult decision that will shape their futures. The movie explores themes of self-discovery, friendship, and the pursuit of freedom, as Clint and Mark find their true identities and learn to overcome the challenges that life throws at them.
