In Klown, Frank and his friend Casper decide to embark on a canoe trip with Frank's nephew Bo. Despite feeling burdened by their obligation to take care of Bo, they are excited to end their journey at the Skanderborg Festival, where they expect to indulge in drinking and meeting women.

As the trip unfolds, Frank and Casper's irresponsible and inappropriate behavior continues to escalate. They frequently engage in reckless activities and put Bo in dangerous situations, showing a complete lack of regard for his well-being. However, Bo proves to be more resourceful and mature than expected, often managing to outsmart or handle the wild situations they find themselves in.

Meanwhile, Frank and Casper's partners, Mia and Iben, become increasingly concerned about their behavior and the negative influence they are having on Bo. Mia especially voices her disapproval, drawing attention to the fact that their actions are not setting a good example for her son. Despite their frustrations, Mia and Iben ultimately decide to confront Frank and Casper about their conduct, forcing them to face the consequences of their choices.

Through a series of chaotic and comedic adventures, Klown explores themes of friendship, responsibility, and the complications that arise when adults refuse to grow up. The film serves as an exploration of the consequences of immaturity and the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions, particularly when caring for a young child.
