In the movie Arctic, the protagonist is a man named Overgård, who has been stranded in the frozen Arctic for quite some time. He has managed to establish a makeshift camp and survive by relying on his survival skills and routines.

One day, a helicopter appears on the horizon, bringing hope of rescue for Overgård. However, during the helicopter's landing, it crashes due to severe weather conditions, leaving the pilot dead and trapping a survivng co-pilot, a young woman, in critical condition.
