In Cube 2: Hypercube, the story revolves around a new group of nine strangers who wake up in a high-tech and ever-shifting hypercube-shaped structure. Each room within the hypercube has several dimensional portals leading to different locations within the cube. However, unlike the first film, this hypercube not only shifts in space but also in time, creating even more complex and dangerous puzzles for the trapped prisoners.

As the strangers try to make their way through the hypercube, they quickly realize that the laws of physics and logic no longer apply. They encounter deadly traps, mind-bending geometrical challenges, and encounter alternate versions of themselves from different time periods. The hypercube seems to have its own agenda, testing and brutalizing the prisoners, pushing them to their limits physically and mentally.

Among the group, there is an investigative journalist named Kate, who suspects a larger conspiracy behind the hypercube experiment. She enlists the help of a fellow prisoner, Simon, who claims to be an architect and believes he can decode the hypercube's shifting patterns. Together, they try to unravel the mysteries of the hypercube and find a way to escape.

As the group navigates the treacherous environment, distrust, paranoia, and personal agendas start to surface. Each character's background and skills become crucial in their efforts to solve the dimensional puzzles and survive. Some characters may have hidden motives, while others cling to hope or surrender to despair.

Throughout the film, the hypercube reveals its own secrets, including connections to a clandestine organization experimenting with space-time manipulation. The prisoners must confront the true purpose of the hypercube, as well as the dark intentions of those behind it. As time starts to collapse in random intervals, the group races against the clock to find the exit and expose the sinister reality behind their entrapment.

Cube 2: Hypercube explores themes of perception, reality, and the consequences of meddling with unknown forces. It takes the mind-bending concepts established in the first film and amplifies them, pushing the boundaries of the prisoners' sanity and challenging the audience's understanding of space and time.
