In Horrible Histories: The Movie - Rotten Romans, Atti, a resourceful Roman teenager, finds himself being recruited by the Roman army after his scheme fails and angers Emperor Nero. He is then sent to Britain, a place he describes as miserable, cold, and wet.
Upon his arrival, Atti witnesses the turmoil in Britain, as the native Celtic tribes are rebelling against the Roman occupation. During a skirmish, Atti is captured by Orla, a fierce and determined teenage Celt who dreams of becoming a warrior. Initially at odds, Atti and Orla soon find themselves embarking on an unexpected adventure together.
After escaping a treacherous situation in a bog, Atti utilizes his Roman knowledge and skills to assist Orla in rescuing her grandmother, who has been kidnapped by a rival tribe. As they navigate through dangerous landscapes and encounters, their friendship begins to grow.
