In the movie "Sliver," the woman who moves into the apartment in Manhattan is named Carly Norris. She is a successful book editor trying to start her life anew after a difficult divorce. The luxurious high-rise apartment building she moves into is known as "Sliver." Little does she know, this building hides a dark secret.
Carly quickly becomes acquainted with some of the building's residents: Zeke Hawkins, a wealthy and seductive owner of the building, and Jack Landsford, a charming writer who becomes her love interest.
