In The Good Son, the young boy is named Mark Evans and his cousin is Henry Evans. After Mark's mother suffers a tragic accident, he goes to stay with his aunt Susan and uncle Wallace at their picturesque home on a cliffside property.
Mark initially experiences some difficulties adjusting to his new surroundings and bonding with his cousin Henry, who appears charming and well-behaved on the surface. However, Mark soon starts noticing disturbing behavior from Henry. He witnesses Henry throwing a dummy onto a busy highway, causing a car accident, and it becomes evident that Henry is not the innocent boy he pretends to be.
