In "12 Men of Christmas," a high-powered New York publicist named E.J. Baxter (portrayed by Kristin Chenoweth) experiences a devastating betrayal from her boss and fiancé, who were having an affair behind her back. Seeking a fresh start and desperately needing to escape the chaos of the city, she decides to take up an unexpected job opportunity to promote a charity calendar in the scenic town of Kalispell, Montana.

Upon arriving in the small town, E.J. is met with skepticism and resistance from the locals, who are not accustomed to her big-city ways. Determined to prove herself and secure the success of the calendar project, she sets out to recruit twelve local men to pose for the calendar. However, she soon discovers that it won't be an easy task, as the men she encounters are not initially keen on participating in such a venture.

As E.J. becomes more involved in the community, she starts to understand the depth of the challenges faced by the townspeople. She witnesses the struggles of the local fire department, which is at risk of being shut down due to lack of funding. Additionally, she learns about a controversial issue concerning a proposed ski resort development that could potentially harm the town's environment and wildlife.

As E.J. immerses herself in the daily activities and gets to know the people of Kalispell better, she finds herself drawn to Will Albrecht (played by Josh Hopkins), a sardonic, yet charming local outdoorsman. In the process of winning over Will and recruiting the twelve men, E.J. learns valuable life lessons about trust, love, and the importance of community. She starts to question her old way of life in New York and begins to open her heart to the possibility of a new, more meaningful future.

With the support of the townspeople, E.J. successfully manages to organize the charity calendar, bringing together the twelve reluctant men of Kalispell. The project not only helps raise funds for the struggling fire department but also brings the community closer together. Throughout this journey, E.J. discovers that matters of the heart can be just as complicated in the peaceful wilds of Montana as they are in the bustling streets of New York.

In the end, E.J. must make a difficult decision – whether to return to her old life in New York or embrace the newfound love and sense of belonging she has found in Kalispell. The story culminates in a heartwarming conclusion that highlights the transformative power of finding oneself and the joys of unexpected love in the most unexpected places.
