In Sorority Wars, Katie (played by actress Lucy Hale) is a smart and ambitious college freshman who has always been groomed by her mother Lutie (played by Faith Ford) to join the prestigious Delta sorority, which Lutie was a part of during her college years. The Deltas boast a rich and powerful alumni network and have a reputation for success, making them the ideal choice for Katie's future.

However, despite the pressure exerted by her mother, Katie decides to break away from tradition and pledge a different sorority, the Kappas, which aligns more with her personal values and interests. This unexpected decision by Katie shocks her family, especially her mother, and sets off an all-out sorority war.

As Katie begins her journey with the Kappas, she finds herself facing numerous challenges. The Deltas, led by their fierce and determined president, Stephanie (played by Amanda Schull), launch a campaign to sabotage Katie's attempts to fit in with the Kappas and to ensure her failure.

With her newfound sisters from the Kappas, including the warm-hearted and loyal Beth (played by Phoebe Strole) and the witty and supportive Sara (played by Sarah Wright Olsen), Katie fights against the Deltas' underhanded tactics and attempts to divide and conquer the Kappas.

The conflict between the two sororities escalates into a series of pranks, betrayals, and social media battles. As the war intensifies, Katie finds herself torn between her previous ambition to join the Deltas and her newfound loyalty to the Kappas, who have shown her the importance of friendship and authenticity.

Throughout the movie, Sorority Wars explores themes of identity, independence, and the pressure of expectations. Katie discovers her own voice and learns to make choices that align with her true self, rather than trying to fulfill someone else's aspirations for her.

In the final act of the film, Katie confronts her mother about her unrelenting control and expresses her need for autonomy. Recognizing her daughter's growth and determination, Lutie ultimately supports Katie's decision to choose her own path and find her own place in the college community.

Sorority Wars concludes with Katie successfully reconciling with both the Deltas and the Kappas, bridging the gap between the two sororities, and recognizing that the bonds of sisterhood can transcend rivalries and expectations.
