In this dystopian future, water has become a scarce and highly valuable resource. The evil emperor, played by John Carradine, sits atop a vast trade oligarchy that monopolizes the mining and sale of ice from asteroids and comets. This ruthless regime rules over the galaxy, exploiting the desperation of its inhabitants.

Our protagonist is a group of space pirates known as the "Ice Pirates," led by Captain Jason (played by Robert Urich). They are a renegade crew who specializes in stealing ice, the only means of survival for many colonies scattered across the galaxy. Their rebellious actions against the empire have made them both notorious and legendary among the struggling masses.

Captain Jason, known for his witty charm, leads his crew on daring heists to procure ice while evading the emperor's forces. However, they often find themselves embroiled in dangerous situations, facing off against various factions and rival pirate groups who also vie for control over the remaining water resources.

During one of their raids, Captain Jason and his crew stumble upon an ancient map that supposedly holds the location of the last surviving water planet. Fired up by the hope of not only ending the water scarcity but also undermining the emperor's control, they set off on a treacherous journey to uncover this legendary planet.

Their expedition is fraught with peril as they encounter deadly space battles, treacherous alien worlds, and unexpected allies on their way towards the center of the galaxy. Along their journey, they also uncover disturbing truths about the empire's hidden agenda, discovering a secret plot to exploit the water planet's immense power for nefarious purposes.

Driven by the determination to bring justice and liberation to the oppressed galaxy, the Ice Pirates must gather their wits and skills to confront the evil emperor head-on. In a climactic battle, they must not only defeat the emperor and his forces but also secure the water planet's future, ensuring that its life-giving resources can benefit all.

As the movie concludes, the Ice Pirates become symbols of rebellion and hope for the galaxy, inspiring others to rise against the empire's tyranny and ignite a revolution that ultimately leads to the liberation of water resources and the end of the trade oligarchy.
