In "The Eyes of My Mother," the protagonist, Francisca, grows up on a secluded farm in the countryside alongside her parents. However, tragedy befalls Francisca when a stranger named Charlie visits their home under the pretense of needing help. Unbeknownst to Francisca's father, Charlie is a deranged individual with sinister intentions.

Charlie brutally murders Francisca's mother and hangs her body in their barn. Witnessing this horrific act, Francisca becomes traumatized and seeks solace in her father's presence. However, her father, unable to cope with the loss, takes his own life shortly after.

Left alone with her macabre upbringing, Francisca's loneliness intensifies, and her deepest and darkest desires begin to consume her. She becomes fascinated by death and dismemberment, potentially driven by her curiosity about her mother's hanging body.

As Francisca grows older, she captures unsuspecting individuals, whom she brings back to her home. There, she tortures and kills them, preserving their bodies through various methods like taxidermy. These victims become her "friends" in a twisted attempt to fill the void left by her parents.

Throughout the movie, Francisca's dark psyche and gruesome activities are explored. Her sadistic actions hint at her yearning for companionship and her desperate attempts to cling to a twisted form of normalcy. However, her actions inevitably lead her down a path of self-destruction and madness.

"The Eyes of My Mother" is a disturbing exploration of one woman's descent into darkness, highlighting themes of isolation, loss, and the consequences of unchecked desires.
