"I Could Never Be Your Woman" is a romantic comedy-drama film directed and written by Amy Heckerling. The story revolves around Rosie Hanson, a 40-year-old divorced mother and television writer producing a teen drama series called "You Go Girl." As the plot unfolds, Rosie finds herself falling for a charming and much younger actor on the show named Adam Perl (played by Paul Rudd).

Simultaneously, Rosie's 15-year-old daughter, Izzie, experiences her first intense infatuation with an attractive boy named Dylan (played by Jon Lovitz's real-life daughter, Lorraine Nicholson), who auditions for a role on the show. As both romance stories develop, Mother Nature, portrayed by Tracey Ullman, serves as an all-knowing, mystical force and tends to interfere with the characters' lives, adding a whimsical and comedic element to their fates.

Despite the significant age difference, Rosie and Adam's relationship evolves, leading them to face the challenges that come with their unconventional love affair. Rosie struggles with self-doubt, worrying that she is not young enough or attractive enough for Adam. Meanwhile, Izzie navigates the ups and downs of her blossoming relationship with Dylan, including the typical teenage insecurities and emotions.

Throughout the film, Mother Nature occasionally interacts with Rosie, providing guidance and reminders of her worth, challenging societal norms regarding age and love. She also indirectly intervenes in Izzie and Dylan's relationship, influencing their decisions and helping them learn important life lessons.

As Rosie's career faces obstacles caused by her chauvinistic boss, she relies on her newfound love with Adam and the support of her wise-cracking best friend, Jeannie (played by Stacey Dash), to overcome professional challenges and embrace her own sense of self-worth. In turn, Izzie learns about love, heartbreak, and independence, all while navigating the tumultuous waters of being an adolescent.

"I Could Never Be Your Woman" is a heartwarming, humorous, and somewhat fantastical exploration of love at different stages of life, the challenges of ageism, and the importance of self-acceptance and personal growth.
