A Bay of Blood, also known as Twitch of the Death Nerve, is a 1971 Italian giallo film directed by Mario Bava. The movie revolves around an elderly heiress named Countess Federica Donati, who has accumulated vast wealth and properties throughout her life.

Countess Donati's greedy husband Filippo plans her murder in order to gain control of her fortunes. He brings his lover, Laura, into the picture and together they plot the Countess's demise. Filippo succeeds in murdering his wife, making it look like suicide.

However, the news of the Countess's death spreads fast, attracting the attention of her relatives and friends who are eager to get their hands on the inheritance. A brutal and frenzied murder spree ensues as each person tries to eliminate the competition.
