In the movie "My Sassy Girl," the guy refers to Gyeon-woo (played by Jesse Bradford), a college student in New York City who has his life meticulously planned. However, one fateful day, his life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters an enigmatic and wild woman referred to as The Girl (played by Elisha Cuthbert).

Gyeon-woo finds The Girl completely drunk and unconscious on a subway platform. Despite not knowing her, he feels compelled to help her. He takes care of her and ensures she reaches home safely. Intrigued by her unpredictable behavior, Gyeon-woo develops an interest in The Girl.

Following that incident, Gyeon-woo and The Girl continue to cross paths, growing closer with each encounter. The Girl captivates him with her free-spirited and unfiltered approach to life, overturning his meticulously planned existence. Their relationship evolves from being strangers to friends, and eventually, romantic feelings begin to blossom.

However, as their bond strengthens, Gyeon-woo starts to unravel The Girl's complex and troubled past.
