In the movie Perfect Sisters, based on a true story, two sisters named Sandra and Beth struggle to cope with their mother Linda's chronic alcoholism and her string of abusive boyfriends. Feeling trapped and desperate to escape their dysfunctional home life, the sisters come up with a dark and dangerous plan to end their mother's life.

Sandra, the older sister, takes on the role of planning the murder, while Beth, the younger sister, reluctantly agrees to go along with it. They meticulously plot and strategize their every move, aiming to make the murder appear as an accident or suicide. Their close relationship strengthens their resolve, as they see no other alternative to find peace and live a normal life.

Their plan revolves around luring their mother into a party where they intend to drug her with alcohol, prescription pills, and sleeping pills, thus making it easier to stage an accidental overdose. The day of the planned murder arrives, and Sandra and Beth manipulate their mother, persuading her to attend the party.

As the tension builds, their plan seems to be working when their mother becomes heavily intoxicated. However, unforeseen obstacles arise, testing their determination and ability to execute their plan flawlessly. A nosy neighbor, suspicious friends, and unexpected events threaten to unravel their scheme.

Throughout this rollercoaster of emotions, the movie explores themes of sibling loyalty, desperation, and the blurred lines between empathy and darkness. As Sandra and Beth proceed with their dangerous plan, they uncover hidden truths about their mother, realizing that she is not entirely responsible for the broken family they have endured.

Perfect Sisters delves into the psychological complexities of the sisters' relationship, as they struggle with guilt, fear, and the moral implications of their actions. As the movie progresses, the audience is left to question whether revenge and murder will bring the closure and peace the sisters so desperately seek, or if their drastic actions will only bring them deeper into a cycle of darkness and torment.
