"Yes, God, Yes" is a coming-of-age comedy-drama film that revolves around the life of fifteen-year-old Alice, a devout Catholic teenager. Alice has always prided herself on being a good Catholic and following the teachings of the church. However, during an innocent AOL chat session, she stumbles upon a conversation that takes an unexpectedly racy turn, awakening her curiosity about sex.

The experience leaves Alice confused and suddenly obsessed with her newfound interest in sexuality. As she confronts her own desires and struggles to understand her changing emotions, Alice embarks on a personal journey of self-discovery, navigating the complexities of her Catholic upbringing and her evolving sense of sexual identity.

Caught between her religious beliefs, societal expectations, and the curiosity of adolescence, Alice seeks solace and guidance within her religious community. She attends a weekend Catholic retreat, hoping to find answers to her conflicting feelings. However, she soon realizes that the retreat is far from the sanctuary she had hoped for, as she encounters hypocrisy, judgment, and unaddressed issues within her church community.

Throughout the film, Alice's experiences challenge her perception of herself as a "good Catholic." She questions her belief system, her own desires, and the double standards imposed by her community. As she grapples with her newfound sexual curiosity, Alice gradually learns to reconcile her religious faith with her evolving understanding of her own desires and sexual identity.

The movie sensitively explores themes of sexuality, guilt, shame, and the struggles faced by adolescents navigating their sexual awakening within the confines of conservative religious environments. It presents a humorous and poignant journey of self-acceptance and the realization that true happiness lies in embracing oneself, while challenging the narrow-mindedness and limitations of societal expectations.
