In the movie Tadpole, Oscar Grubman is a 15-year-old prodigy and romantic idealist who becomes infatuated with his stepmother, Eve. Oscar believes he can better understand and fulfill Eve's needs than his seemingly cold and work-obsessed father. Throughout the Thanksgiving weekend, Oscar tries to win Eve's heart by demonstrating his sensitivity, compassion, and intelligence.

However, Oscar's attempts to win Eve's affection are futile, as she sees him only as a young boy and remains committed to her marriage with his father. Distraught and dejected, Oscar's path to finding love takes an unexpected turn when he meets Diane, Eve's best friend.

One night, while wearing Eve's borrowed perfumed scarf, Diane seduces Oscar in an unconventional tryst. For Diane, Oscar fills a void in her own life and offers her a temporary escape from reality. Oscar, on the other hand, sees Diane as a distraction from his pursuit of Eve and his desire for a genuine, reciprocated love.

As Oscar continues to navigate his internal conflicts and romantic entanglements, he gradually realizes the complexities of love and the importance of mature relationships. Eventually, the interactions between Oscar, Eve, and Diane lead to an unexpected resolution that forces Oscar to reevaluate his feelings and desires.

Tadpole explores themes of unrequited love, forbidden relationships, and the complexities of navigating romantic entanglements. It delves into the struggles of a young man trying to understand his own desires and the consequences of his actions.
