Drama   United States of America

As Caleb waits anxiously for the three-month period to pass, he navigates the complexities of his newly-formed relationship with a fellow support group member, named Alex. Alex, an introverted and mysterious young man, has also been recently diagnosed with HIV. Despite their different personalities, Caleb and Alex develop a deep understanding and connection as they lean on each other for support during this challenging time.

Meanwhile, Caleb's flamboyant best friend, Rachel, rallies behind him, determined to make these three months memorable. Together, they embark on a series of misadventures in an attempt to live life to the fullest. From wild parties and spontaneous road trips to daring fashion experiments and provocative art installations, Caleb and Rachel embrace the rebellious spirit of their youth, determined to defy the limitations imposed by societal expectations and their diagnoses.

As the three months draw to a close, Caleb becomes increasingly anxious about his test results. His fear of a positive diagnosis is further heightened when he witnesses the devastating impact of HIV on other members of their support group. He grapples with his own mortality and questions his place in the world, contemplating the significance of his dreams and aspirations.

Throughout the film, Caleb's mother, a loving and nurturing presence, tries to maintain a sense of normalcy and balance in her son's life. She encourages him to explore his passions and reminds him of his inner strength. Caleb's strained relationship with his father, however, adds another layer of tension to his journey, as he searches for acceptance and understanding within his own family.

When Caleb finally receives his test results, the film takes an unexpected turn. The outcome challenges his preconceived notions about living with HIV and forces him to confront the harsh realities of the disease. Ultimately, Three Months is a poignant and thought-provoking exploration of love, friendship, and resilience in the face of adversity, as Caleb and those around him discover the power of self-acceptance and the importance of living life to the fullest, regardless of the circumstances.
