In the movie "Tank," Sergeant Major Zack Carey, a retired Army veteran, decides to relocate his family, including his wife LaDonna (Shirley Jones) and his son Billy (C. Thomas Howell), to a small town in Georgia. Zack brings along his beloved restored Sherman tank, which serves as a symbol of his military pride and heritage.

Upon their arrival, Zack quickly finds himself at odds with the local sheriff, Deputy Euclid "Boss" Harrison (G.D. Spradlin), and his corrupt tactics. The friction intensifies when Billy becomes romantically involved with a local girl named Sarah (Sandy McPeak), who happens to be the sheriff's daughter.

As tensions escalate, the sheriff unfairly targets Billy, manipulating his position of authority to make the young man's life difficult. Frustrated by the sheriff's abuse of power and seeking justice for his son, Zack decides to deploy his tank as a form of protest and resistance against the corrupt sheriff.

With his military expertise, Zack becomes a one-man army, using his tank to defend and protect his family, as well as fight for the truth and expose the sheriff's wrongdoings. The action-packed climax sees Zack engaging in a faceoff with not only the sheriff's forces but also the National Guard, who are called in to handle the situation.

Throughout the film, Zack's tank becomes a symbol of defiance and the ultimate means to restore justice in a town plagued by corruption and abuse of power. "Tank" explores themes of patriotism, family bonds, and the fight against injustice, showcasing the lengths a determined individual will go to protect their loved ones and uphold their principles.
