Badlapur is a Hindi crime thriller film directed by Sriram Raghavan. After his wife Misha and young son Robin are brutally killed during a bank robbery, Raghav "Raghu" Purohit (played by Varun Dhawan), a mild-mannered young man, is shattered and consumed by a desire for revenge.
The police capture Liak Mohammed Khan (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui), one of the robbers, who reveals the identity of the other culprits involved in the crime—Harman "Harsh" Singha (played by Vinay Pathak) and his girlfriend Jhimli (played by Huma Qureshi).
