In Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) find out that a reboot of the movie "Bluntman and Chronic," in which their fictional alter egos appeared, is being made again. Furious that they are not receiving any royalties or permission for the use of their likenesses, they decide to head back to Hollywood to sabotage the production and ensure the reboot's cancellation.

On their adventure, they encounter a variety of colorful characters, both new and familiar, as they navigate their way through the chaotic world of Hollywood. They come face-to-face with old friends like Brodie Bruce (Jason Lee), who is now the owner of a weed-themed comic book store, and they meet new acquaintances including Saban (Shannon Elizabeth) and Jihad (Brian Quinn).

Throughout their journey, Jay and Silent Bob also discover that Jay has a daughter named Millennium Falcon (Harley Quinn Smith) as a result of their previous misadventures. Joined by Millennium Falcon and her friends, the trio sets out on a mission to find Jay's long-lost love, Justice (Shannon Elizabeth), and attempt to mend their broken family.

As they encounter various obstacles and absurd situations, Jay and Silent Bob hilariously parody and poke fun at the current state of Hollywood, reboots, and the film industry as a whole. The movie is heavily packed with self-aware humor, celebrity cameos, and references to Smith's previous films.

Ultimately, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot explores the themes of friendship, family, and the importance of finding one's purpose in life, while delivering countless laughs and paying homage to the characters and universe that Smith has created over the years.
