Peter, a young boy, is initially frustrated when his grandfather Ed moves into his room due to a lack of space in the house. Determined to reclaim his beloved room, Peter comes up with a mischievous plan and declares war on his grandfather. Peter enlists the help of his friends, Jerry, Jason, and Mia, to aid him in his mission.

The war between Peter and his grandfather escalates quickly, and they engage in a series of pranks and counter-pranks, turning the house into a battlefield. The two rivals go to great lengths to outdo each other, leading to chaos and hilarity ensues as they constantly one-up each other.

As the war rages on, Peter's relationship with Ed becomes strained, causing tension within the family. Peter's parents, Sally and Arthur, initially find the situation amusing but soon realize that it has impacted the family dynamics. They attempt to intervene and put an end to the war, encouraging Peter and Ed to find a peaceful resolution.

However, both Peter and Ed refuse to back down and stubbornly continue their antics, with each prank becoming more elaborate than the last. The situation escalates further when Ed brings in some of his old war buddies to join his side of the conflict, while Peter recruits his schoolmates to strengthen his army.

Amidst the chaos, Peter starts to reflect on his actions and begins to question whether winning the room back at the expense of his relationship with his grandfather is worth it. Realizing the importance of family and their bond, Peter decides to call a truce, hoping to mend his relationship with Ed.

In the end, the family comes together to repair the damage caused by the war, and Peter and Ed reconcile, finding a way to peacefully coexist in the same room. They realize that the room itself is not as important as the love and connection they share as a family.
