In the movie "My Blue Heaven," FBI agent Barney Coopersmith is assigned to protect Vincent Antonelli, a former Mafia figure who has turned informant. Vincent enters the witness protection program to testify against his fellow criminals.

Coopersmith's primary job is to keep Vincent safe and hidden, ensuring that he doesn't catch the attention of the Mafia hitmen who are determined to silence him before he can testify. However, Vincent proves to be a challenging subject as he struggles to live a low-key life due to his flamboyant, outgoing personality.

As Vincent settles into his new identity and suburban life in a small town, he constantly finds himself getting into various misadventures and bringing unwanted attention. He becomes a local celebrity, catching the eye of the town's residents and even starting a romantic relationship with a local woman named Hannah.

Coopersmith, constantly on edge, tries his best to rein in Vincent's behavior and keep a close eye on him. As the trial date approaches, tensions between Coopersmith, Vincent, and the hitmen intensify. Coopersmith not only has to protect Vincent from the mob, but also deal with the challenges and consequences of Vincent's eccentric lifestyle.

Meanwhile, Vincent's past catches up with him when one of his old Mafia associates, the ruthless Vinnie "Boom Boom" Barbell, sets his sights on eliminating Vincent permanently. Coopersmith has to outsmart and outmaneuver the dangerous hitmen while keeping Vincent safe and ensuring his testimony is delivered.

Throughout the film, the contrast between Vincent's larger-than-life personality and the anonymous, low-profile nature of the witness protection program provides comedic moments. The plot escalates as the hitmen close in on Vincent, leading to a thrilling climax where Coopersmith must use all his skills to protect Vincent and bring the criminals to justice.

In the end, "My Blue Heaven" is not just a crime comedy about witness protection but also a story about unlikely friendships and personal growth as Coopersmith and Vincent develop a bond while navigating the challenges thrown their way.
