Seoul Station is an animated South Korean zombie horror film directed by Yeon Sang-ho. The movie serves as a prequel to the critically acclaimed live-action film, Train to Busan.

The story revolves around Suk-gyu, a desperate father searching for his runaway daughter, Hye-sun. Despite facing numerous obstacles, Suk-gyu spares no expense and puts in tremendous effort to find her. Eventually, one of his contacts informs him that he has located Hye-sun. However, Suk-gyu is shocked to discover that his daughter is working as a prostitute in the heart of Seoul.

Determined to reconnect with Hye-sun and bring her back home, Suk-gyu hatches a dangerous plan. He decides to pose as a client in order to get close to his daughter and convince her to leave her current circumstances. However, just before their long-awaited and dreaded reunion, panic erupts at the nearby Seoul Station.

Seoul Station is a popular gathering place for the homeless in the Korean capital. A homeless man, who had been presumed dead earlier in the day, unexpectedly comes back to life and begins attacking and devouring other unlucky individuals. As the undead cannibal's rampage continues, a horrifying epidemic quickly spreads throughout the city, turning people into mindless zombies.

In response to the outbreak, the authorities take drastic measures to contain the situation. They seal off the city center, effectively trapping survivors and the infected within. With no escape or assistance from the government, those trapped inside Seoul Station must fend for themselves as they face the relentless onslaught of the undead.

As the infection spreads like wildfire and tensions rise among the survivors, Suk-gyu's primary objective shifts from saving his daughter to finding a way to survive the nightmarish situation. He aligns himself with other survivors, including a group of vagrant characters who are experienced in navigating the underground tunnels and the dangers of the city's hidden corners.

Together, they must navigate through the treacherous streets, battling both the relentless hordes of zombies and the desperate nature of surviving humans. Their ultimate goal is to make it out of Seoul Station alive before there's no one left.

The intense and suspenseful plot of Seoul Station explores themes of family, survival, and the dark side of society. As the characters fight desperately to reunite loved ones and overcome the horrors surrounding them, they also confront the underlying issues of poverty, homelessness, and the vulnerability of marginalized communities.

With its gripping narrative and striking animation, Seoul Station offers a unique perspective on the zombie genre while shedding light on societal issues prevalent in modern-day South Korea.
