As Harry Ho prepares to propose to his girlfriend Anita on her 30th birthday, he quickly realizes that he may have some obstacles to overcome. Anita's family, who are traditional Chinese immigrants, have never met Harry and hold strong expectations for their daughter's future.

Unbeknownst to Harry, Anita's parents have been planning for her to marry a successful Chinese doctor. When Anita decides to celebrate her milestone birthday in Las Vegas with her entire family, including her parents, siblings, and extended relatives, Harry reluctantly agrees to join them.

Upon arriving in Las Vegas, Harry finds himself in an overwhelming and uncomfortable situation. The stark contrast between his struggling life as an unpaid Korean writer and the successful careers of Anita's relatives leaves him feeling out of place.

Anita's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ho, immediately express their disapproval of Harry, believing that he is not a suitable match for their daughter. They subtly try to pressure Anita into considering their chosen Chinese doctor as a potential husband.

As the birthday celebrations unfold, Harry desperately tries to win over Anita's family. However, his attempts to impress them are met with comical miscommunication, cultural clashes, and misunderstandings. Despite his best efforts, Harry finds himself alienated and repeatedly embarrassed in front of Anita's relatives.

To add to the chaos, Anita's younger brother, a rebellious teenager named Michael, takes an immediate liking to Harry and sees him as a breath of fresh air from their family's strict traditions. Michael's antics and support for Harry add both humor and tension to the already strained situation.

Despite the many challenges, Harry perseveres and remains dedicated to winning over Anita's family. Along the way, he learns valuable lessons about love, acceptance, and the importance of staying true to oneself. As the story unfolds, the audience witnesses the growth and transformation of both Harry and Anita's family members.

Anita Ho is a heartwarming and humorous film that explores themes of cultural clashes, family expectations, and the universal need for acceptance and understanding. Through a series of comedic and dramatic moments, the movie ultimately brings everyone together, teaching them the power of love and breaking down barriers.
