Non si ruba a casa dei ladri (You Don't Steal from Thieves) is an Italian comedy film released in 2016. The plot revolves around a group of amateur thieves who mistakenly break into the home of a renowned criminal.

The story begins with a bumbling trio of small-time burglars: Gigi (Vincenzo Salemme), Lillo (Massimo Ghini), and Pasquale (Maurizio Mattioli). Their criminal activities are mostly unsuccessful, yet they dream of hitting the big time. One day, they decide to rob a luxurious villa they believe belongs to an absent family.

However, their plans take an unexpected turn when they discover that the house actually belongs to Don Vincenzo (Stefania Rocca), a notorious local criminal who is currently serving a prison sentence. Unbeknownst to the trio, Don Vincenzo has entrusted his charming and seductive girlfriend, Valeria (Manuela Arcuri), to watch over the house.

Valeria is frustrated with the monotonous life of being a housekeeper and jumps at the opportunity to seize some excitement when she realizes the burglars mistake her as the absent family. Instead of revealing her true identity, she decides to play along and pretends to be the wealthy owner.

As Gigi, Lillo, and Pasquale navigate the luxurious mansion, they quickly discover that things are not as they seem. They come across hidden treasures, mysterious secret passages, and even encounters with Don Vincenzo's imprisoned associates who visit the house in order to maintain their criminal operations. Meanwhile, Valeria unabashedly flirts with the three burglars, leading to jealousy and tension between them.

As the day progresses, chaos ensues, and the thieves find themselves in a race against time to find the real valuables and escape before Don Vincenzo returns. Hilarity ensues as the thieves continue to stumble into one unpredictable situation after another.

Non si ruba a casa dei ladri is a lighthearted comedy that blends elements of farce, mistaken identity, and unexpected romance. Throughout the film, the characters' humorous interactions and constant mishaps provide laughter and entertainment, culminating in a surprising and satisfying conclusion.
