Drama   United States of America

As Bill Saunders goes into hiding with the help of nurse Jane Wharton, he is haunted by the memories of his time as a POW. He suffers from vivid nightmares and flashbacks, causing him to become increasingly unstable and violent. Despite his initial appeal to Jane's sympathy, their relationship becomes strained as Bill's anger and paranoia intensify.

Meanwhile, Detective Inspectors Sutherland and Gregg are assigned to track down the fugitive. As they investigate the bar fight and subsequent killing, they discover that Bill is a war veteran struggling with deep trauma. However, they also uncover evidence that suggests Bill may have intentionally killed the man in the bar, rather than it being an accident.

As the manhunt for Bill escalates, he becomes increasingly desperate. Seeking solace, he turns to a local priest, Father Callahan, who helps him come to terms with his past. Father Callahan encourages Bill to face his guilt and seek redemption, urging him to turn himself in to the authorities.

Feeling torn between his growing feelings for Jane and his need for absolution, Bill contemplates Confession. However, before he can fully make this decision, a series of dangerous events unfolds. A gang leader, Harry Carter, discovers Bill's location and seeks revenge for a prior altercation.

In a final climactic showdown, Bill must confront both his personal demons and the threats from Harry Carter. With Jane by his side, Bill must find the strength to face the consequences of his actions and ultimately decide if he is willing to sacrifice his own freedom for redemption. The film's thrilling conclusion will leave audiences questioning the morality of justice and forgiveness.
